Grace Lin, Founder and Director

Grace Lin is an award-winning Taiwanese-British producer and director with a 15-year background in factual television and journalism. Driven by a passion for observational filmmaking, she is currently developing a slate of documentaries that bridge her dual cultural roots, exploring the intersections of dance, marine ecology, queer identities, and Asian diasporic narratives.

As a bilingual filmmaker with an established network of crews in both the UK and Taiwan, Grace offers a unique transnational perspective, positioning her to lead international co-productions while navigating complex cultural landscapes and logistics across both territories.

Before focusing on independent documentaries, Grace built a robust career in broadcast television characterised by high production values and strong editorial judgement. She series-produced acclaimed travel programmes that garnered Taiwan’s Golden Bell TV Awards in 2012 and 2016, with recent credits including World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys: Taiwan (Channel 5) and Beating Covid-19 (Discovery). Furthermore, she operates as a versatile self-shooting PD and editor for human-centred branded content, connecting global organisations with authentic, lived experiences.

Beyond her professional work, Grace is dedicated to supporting underrepresented voices and connecting London’s non-fiction community. Her industry involvement includes:
